Drs. Ormiston and Chong have been serving the Midland community since 2013.
Dr. Sarah CHong
Dr. Chong has a Bachelor of Health Sciences degree from McMaster University and a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry, where she met her husband Dr. Trevor Ormiston.
As part of her training, Dr. Chong completed an internship in Mobile, Alabama, where she worked alongside ophthalmologists specializing in neuro-ophthalmology, corneal, and retinal disease. Dr. Chong is interested in all aspects of optometry and is passionate about thorough eye examinations for people of all ages to prevent and detect possible causes of vision loss.
Dr. Chong is TPA certified, which means she is able to prescribe therapeutic drugs for the management of ocular diseases.
Dr. Chong enjoys playing piano and guitar, badminton, and hand embroidery. When not at work, she loves spending time with her husband and daughter Maggie.
Dr. Trevor Ormiston
Dr. Ormiston has a Bachelor of Science in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Guelph, and a Doctor of Optometry degree from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry, where he met his wife, Dr. Sarah Chong.
As part of his training, Dr. Ormiston completed an internship in Mobile, Alabama, where he worked alongside ophthalmologists specializing in neuro-ophthalmology, corneal, and retinal disease. Dr. Ormiston has numerous hobbies, from tinkering with electronics to videography. He enjoys playing golf, fishing, and spending time with his family.
